Migration Packet

Today in Human Geo. we were given a packet. The packet contained four main points on immigration. We were told to read through the packet and take notes. The first was Government Immigration Policies. Most countries have selective immigration policies that limit the number of immigrants that are allowed into the country. There are four types of selective immigration. The first is maintain the current level immigration. The next is increase immigration where you get more people than the year before. The third is reduce the level where you get less people then the year before. Finally, there is no policy. This is where they let whoever in whenever because maybe they want everyone, or their country is to poor for a policy or there is not a structured government. There are also unauthorized immigrants which come into the country illegally. They take up five percent of the working population in America.
